Job Advert: English Teacher (QTS) – High School – Stoke Area

Position: English Teacher (Qualified Teacher Status - QTS)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week (Summer Term)
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
Start Date: Summer Term

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher with QTS to join a high school in the Stoke area for the summer term. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental activities.

  • Uphold school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

  • Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.

  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

  • A passion for English and a commitment to student success.
