Key duties of the role:

 

·       To spearhead the nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure and ensure all team members are able to do the same

·       To lead a team of professional workers and to ensure high quality practice at all times

·       Overseeing the efficient upkeep and maintenance of the building and grounds, stock of equipment, furnishings and fittings

About the Role

  • Working in local private nurseries and early years settings

  • Supporting children aged 0–5 in their learning, play, and development

  • Assisting with daily routines, hygiene, snack/lunchtimes, and activities

  • Following safeguarding and EYFS guidelines at all times

  • Shifts available: 8:00am–5:00pm or 8:30am–5:30pm, depending on setting

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting

  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • A good understanding of safeguarding procedures

Pay

To be considered for this position you will need:

  • Either a NNEB/ NVQ qualification in Childcare.
  • To have experience in working with young children.
