At Premier Education we are committed to supporting our candidates through their Continuing Professional Development. Our training courses are run throughout the academic year and you will be advised via e-mail of forthcoming sessions. Courses will usually be held on a saturday morning.

CPD Session 11/6/2013- ‘Assessment’ Thursday, May 9th, 2013

Our final CPD this academic year will be on ‘Assessment’ and will be led by Pritiben Patel. The session will be held on Tuesday 11th June and will start at approximately 4.30-4.45 (hopefully this will allow enough time for those traveling from school placements ) and will finish about 6.30pm. Coffee will be served from 4pm in the reception area and held at the usual location – Premier Inn Trafford Centre North, Trafford Boulevard, Eccles, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M41 7JE

CPD – Managing Behaviour Positively – 16th April 2013 Thursday, March 7th, 2013

I can confirm our next Continuing Professional Development session will be held on Tuesday 16th April and will take place at The Premier Inn Trafford West (Formerly the Tulip Inn) on Old Park Lane, Trafford M17 8PG.   The topic will cover strategies for Managing Behaviour Positively.   Please note there will be an opportunity to share your own ideas and strategies so please bring with you anything you feel would be relevant.

We especially welcome all NQTs , newly registered teachers and teaching assistants.

Continuing Professional Development Twilight Sessions. Wednesday, August 8th, 2012

During the Autumn Term we will be holding a series of Twilight Sessions on current educational developments and practice. These sessions are open to all education professionals, regardless of whether you are currently registered with us or not. The dates and titles are as follows:

18th September 2012: Surviving the NQT Year – Areas to be Covered Include: Behaviour for Learning, Stress Management and Misconceptions about NQT’s on Supply.
The session will be lead by Caroline McMullin, a recently qualified teacher who has successfully completed her induction year. Caroline is an excellent classroom practitioner who will give you practical ideas and tips on the best way to cope with the various challenges you may face as an NQT.

9th October 2012: Getting to Grips With The New OFSTED Inspection Framework. This session will be lead by Pritiben Patel, an established and experienced classroom teacher, who also works as an insepctor for Ofsted. Pritiben will give guidance on how the new framework will impact practice within the classroom environment.

November 2012 (date to be confirmed): Practical Effective Use of The Creative Curriculum. More details to be announced.

CPD Course – What Makes a Good Lesson? Revised date Wednesday, July 20th, 2011
